This hydraulic swing clamp cylinder works as a double-acting pull cylinder, whereby part of the stroke is used to swing the piston. These swing clamp cylinders are equipped with a
reinforced swivel mechanism. This eliminates the need for overload protection.

Right or left swivel versions with various standardized swivel angles are available.

The cylinders are equipped with pipe thread and O-ring flange connections for drilled channels to supply pressure oil. For a long service life, the cylinders have an integrated metal wiper as standard. The swing clamp cylinder is optionally available with electrical or pneumatic position monitoring. This monitors the clamping and unclamping position of the cylinder. The position control is not included in the scope of delivery of the standard cylinder.
If the permissible volume flow is exceeded, a throttle check valve must be interposed.

Operating conditions:
The clamping movement is initiated with a superimposed swivel and stroke movement. This is followed by a linear clamping stroke. Variants with swivel angles of 0°, 30°, 45°, 60° and 90° are available. The permissible operating pressure depends on the clamp length. The piston rod is available with either a fork head or a swivel eye to accommodate the clamps. The swivel eye enables the mounting of double clamps. This allows, for example, two workpieces to be clamped simultaneously or a support to be provided on one side during the clamping process. These swing clamp cylinders are equipped with a reinforced swing mechanism. This eliminates the need for overload protection. The reinforcement can, for example, compensate for the higher loads when using double clamps. When using self-manufactured double clamps, we recommend using a support with spring elements to ensure the neutral position of the double clamp.
