Installation instructions:
When fitting the clamps, ensure that no torque is transferred to the piston rod. To do this, hold against the clamping arm when tightening or loosening the fastening screw (see illustration).
The function of swing clamps with overload protection must first be tested. To do this, turn the piston until you feel the overload protection engage. The swing clamps have three engagement points at 120° intervals.
As a rule, the clamp is mounted in a depressurized state. However, if the clamp is to be positioned in an exact clamping position, you must pressurize the swing clamp at connectionA and allow the piston to retract. Then position the clamping arm in the intended clamping position on the clamping arm holder.
After positioning the clamping arm on the clamping arm holder, unscrew the fastening screw by hand. Then tighten the fastening screw with a wrench.
After a few clamping cycles, the torque on the fastening screw must be checked again. This will prevent the clamp from loosening.
