The filtering of hydraulic media plays a major role in the availability and operational reliability of hydraulic systems. The complexity of the hydraulic systems plays no particular role here.

Even the simplest hydraulic systems are affected by impermissible contamination in the hydraulic medium. Premature wear or malfunctions are the result. Practical experience shows that many malfunctions during the commissioning of hydraulic systems are due to inadequate cleaning of the lines and oil bores. Hydraulic filters in the supply line and possibly in the return line of hydraulic systems prevent the system from failing.

The hydraulic filters consist of a bolted aluminum housing in which the replaceable filter cartridge is mounted. The direction of flow is marked IN/OUT on the housing and must be observed for proper use. Due to the use of high-strength aluminum as the housing body, only cable glands with elastic seals may be used.
