Info
Multiple coupling systems are mainly used in machine tools. There they serve as an interface for media transfer between the fixture pallet and the loading and unloading station or the machining station. Coupling systems are also used in the fields of handling technology, robotics and in tool and mold making.
The design of the coupling systems is based on the built-in coupling elements, which are compactly and functionally assembled in a common plate to form a coupling unit. We offer standardized multiple coupling systems and also design and manufacture customer-specific coupling systems as special variants.
Special features:
-
Various coupling elements can be combined
-
Can be combined with rotating unions
- for transferring liquid/gaseous media and vacuum
- Can be coupled without pressure or under pressure
-
Additional functions can be integrated
- Standard elements and special elements available
Functional principle:
The coupling elements required for media transmission are installed in common base plates. The coupling mechanism plates are mounted in the operating and processing station and the coupling nipple plates in the fixture pallets. Depending on the design, various additional functions are integrated into the coupling plates.
The spring-loaded cleaning nozzle built into the coupling mechanism plate can be designed in such a way that the blast air can be passed on in the coupled state, e.g. for checking the workpieces. In order to avoid clamping the fixture pallet and the associated absorption of the coupling forces, the systems can be equipped with a self-locking mechanism, which saves additional clamping elements in the operating station.
The coupling elements are made of stainless materials. This means that liquid and gaseous media can be transferred. Coupling elements of different nominal widths can be combined in a multiple coupling system. Combinations withrotating unions in the operating station allow the fixture pallet to be rotated through 360°. This means that combinations with rotating unions offer good accessibility to the device.
