Info

Pressure intensifiers increase a hydraulic pressure in a fixed ratio. This process allows the low pressure of a machine hydraulic system, for example, to be used to control a hydraulic consumer with higher pressure requirements. The pressure intensification takes place via a fixed surface ratio of two piston surfaces. This allows the secondary pressure to be controlled via the primary input pressure. As soon as the preset minimum pressure of the sequence valve is reached, the pressure intensification piston is activated and the system pressure is increased by a factor of 3.85. The amount of oil to be transferred is of minor importance. A further advantage is that no oscillating piston movement of the pressure intensifier is required. This reduces the susceptibility of the components to wear. In addition, an increased output pressure is immediately available.
Operating conditions:
In the high-pressure range, the required volume must not exceed the internal volume of the intensifier. We recommend the use of a pressure gauge to monitor the high pressure range. To ensure optimum function, we recommend the use of a pressure filter with a filter fineness of max. 10 µm. The filter is connected before the low pressure connection of the pressure booster.
The hydraulic system must be completely vented before commissioning the pressure booster. Also ensure that no liquids can penetrate through the ventilation. If this risk exists, the sintered filter can be removed and a ventilation line can be connected to the G1/4 connection instead.
