The rotary lever clamp with pneumatic position sensing is particularly suitable for clamping fixtures that only have limited space for the installation of clamping elements. The double-acting rotary lever clamps are used in clamping fixtures that are supplied with oil via drilled channels. The linear stroke is used proportionally to swivel the clamping lever in, which fixes the workpiece. To release, the clamping lever swivels back far enough so that the workpiece can be removed without collision. Clamping levers are not included in the scope of delivery! Standard clamping levers made of steel and in different lengths can be ordered as accessories. The cylinder can also be fitted with individual clamping levers. The clamping forces depend on the length of the clamping lever. The rotary lever clamps with query are identical in design to the double-acting rotary lever clamps on data sheet 250-10. The two differently functioning series are interchangeable in terms of the installation dimensions.

Operating conditions:
The clamping lever is coupled to the piston rod. With the double-acting rotary lever clamps, the clamping lever is opened by the pressure medium. When installing the rotary lever clamps, the flange surface should be adapted to the height of the workpiece. The clamping point should be in a horizontal position. Workpiece tolerances can thus be compensated for despite the short clamping stroke.

Position monitoring:
The clamping levers are equipped with elastic sealing plugs on both sides. There are two drilled channels in the rotary lever clamp through which compressed air can be fed into the clamping lever guide of the housing. The holes are arranged in such a way that they are sealed by the sealing plugs of the clamping lever in the clamping or unclamping position. This creates a pneumatic pressure increase in the line, which can be monitored in the respective position using commercially available pneumatic pressure switches. The pressure switch registers the pneumatic pressure increase and generates an electrical signal which is forwarded to the control unit.

Installation instructions:
The rotary lever clamp is generally suitable for any installation position. However, care must be taken to ensure that the selected installation position does not result in chip nests forming in the swivel range of the clamping lever during operation.
