Pressure monitoring cylinder
hydraulic, pmax. 500 bar
Pressure monitoring cylinders convert a hydraulic signal (test pressure/pressure loss) into a mechanical signal that can be evaluated via electrical or pneumatic switching units.
Info
They are usually used in hydraulic systems that are not connected to a pressure generator, e.g. static clamping systems.
Operating conditions:
The pressure monitoring cylinder is equipped with three pressure springs that can measure a pressure of between 15 and 500 bar, depending on the combination and adjustable preload. When the set pressure is reached, the piston makes a linear stroke movement of 2.5 mm. This can be monitored via limit switches, inductive proximity switches or pneumatic or electric dynamic pressure switches. The advantage of pressure monitoring cylinders lies in the fact that the piston returns to its initial position even after a small pressure loss (maximum 15%), thus generating a signal that stops the production process, for example.

Installation instructions:
Remove the springs that are not required for the test pressure so that only the springs according to the table "Adjustment ranges" remain in the cylinder. Fine adjustment is carried out using the front adjusting nut. Adjust the signal element to be actuated by the DUZ when the piston is extended. Fit all the fastening elements supplied. This ensures that the switching point remains reversible. When using the drilled channels on the cylinder with O-ring flange connection, the connection hole may have a maximum diameter of 6 mm.
Special features:
-
Adjustable preload
-
Evaluable mechanical signal
-
Signal even at low pressure loss
-
Suitable for static clamping systems
-
Increases the functional reliability of clamping systems
